Walking past the Paisley gates
Wandering down the Anfield way.
In the shadows of the great people
who have been here before.
Seeing the famous ‘This is Anfield’ sign
there on the wall
Imagining what it is like to walk out
on to the pitch
With the crowd roaring in delight
When the winning goal hits the back of the net
Knowing that through it all you’ll never walk alone
And that rings true for many a Liverpudlian….
