Wandering through the blue bell wood.
Looking so peaceful, like time has stood still forever
Hearing the birds sing many melodies
Thinking of the people who have walked these paths before
Sometimes in defeat, triumph or victory.
For once these tranquil woods were a battle ground
For the freedom of a nation,
Who stood there ground – for their country Cmyru.
As the battle raged many lost their lives while fighting for freedom
From the English rule over their land.
One particular time their perseverance won
Against the odds they beat the kings army
The valley below the castle,
Is forever known as the valley of the graves.
Where many stood their ground till the end
They knew that freedom is worth fighting for
No matter how high the cost.
