Sight

Some scribblings from Saturday evening.

Sight

Visual

Wide eyed

Bright light

Also looks like

Blurry flickers

Haziness at night

Being blinkered

Tiredness.

Still appreciate

Seagulls overhead

Seeing smiles

Snowfall.

Bike rides

Sunshine

and walks up mountains.

Whispers

Sometimes encouragement doesn’t need to shout to be heard

It can begin with a small whisper
You are: brave

Courageous

Kind

Loving

Adventurous
Knowing that it’s okay to wear your heart on your sleeve..
To live life with open hands

To give and receive

To know that when life is hard

You are not alone

There are many cheering you on

That have your back..
When you often think of others before yourself

Know that there will be days when you will need other people to be that for you.
When really we don’t have everything together all the time.

Sometimes life is tough..
And it’s okay to take one day at a time..
There are brighter days ahead..
And others need your smile, laughter and hope in their lives..as much as you do too.

Ten Years Hanging Out With Jesus

Happy Friday..everyone! Ten years ago today I made one of the best decisions I’ve ever made..to follow Jesus.

I’m so thankful for the journey of continually growing and knowing God more. I’ve come so far but I know the best is yet to come. Here’s to more adventures…

Adventure, travel but, most of all others.

I came across this quote a couple of days ago from Jamie Tworkowski who is the founder of To Write Love On Her Arms (TWLOHA) who raise awareness of suicide and self harm issues amongst young people and to help those in need. You can check out their website here. I love the passion this organisation has to see lives changed and people free from things that are holding them captive.

We all need people to spur us along our journey.

Remember.. You are important, valued and loved.

– Your story is important –

[Hope and Adventure]

Of love and dreams
and distant adventures

Hope

Moments of laughter
and sprinkles of fairy dust

Happiness

to be treasured.
Going to sleep with a smile on your face..

It’s the little things that make the big moments.

A Seaside Tale

I wrote this poem a few years ago now back in March 09.

To see you running towards me
Like there is no other
Across the sand beaches
The sand dusting your feet
Running with all your might

Your feet hitting the sea with
such force
You gasp at the shock of the cold water
engulfing your feet

You see other kids laughing
Having so much fun
As the sun shines over the water
Making it glisten like silver scales

In the distance tiny specks on the sand
As you come closer to the shore
They become clearer
Children making enormous sand castles

Where Dreams Are Found

In hope is where dreams are found
When they are coming out of the Furness
So new that they are scorching hot.

Where we learn not fear the unknown
But to embrace it like a flower beginning to bloom.
When its better to jump, to take the risk
Otherwise its only ourselves holding us back.

In the adventures of walking new paths and places.
All the smells and sounds bring it to life.
Knowing that where ever you go you’ll be ok.

And that its ok to be apprehensive.
Its part of the journey and you’ll get there
in the end.

Today is not the end..your just adding new
pages to the story of your life.
